Senior Sociology Major at University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, GPA 3.77 Transferred from engineering program at Yale University in fall 2016 I split my formative academic years between Minneapolis Public Schools and Catholic prep school, so I am familiar with a range of academic environments and needs.

ACT Score: 35 SAT Score: 2150 (pre-2016 test) Scored a 5 on AP Calculus AB, AP US History, AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature and Composition I have been tutoring since I was in high school and have a broad tutoring experience with all age ranges and academic comfort levels. My tutoring background ranges from elementary to high school students in many different settings: YMCA programs, after school programs, in the classroom, church youth groups and more. My favorite subjects to work in are mathematics and writing/language skills, but I also love history and social sciences and am happy to provide standardized testing preparation as well. I was born and raised off Chicago Avenue in south Minneapolis, but have been able to be very successful academically thanks to the support of others and I wish to pass along the positive influence other people have been to me. I am heading toward a career in youth development and education and so tutor in order to further develop my teaching skills and my appreciation for different learning styles. I have a passion for helping other learners expand their skills, increase their confidence and uncover their potential. These are my goals for any student I work with.

Hobbies
Love listening to music and playing basketball and soccer. Most of my free time is spent hanging out with friends and family, exploring the world, trying new foods and reading-- both comic books & regular books too. I have a passion for characters and the art of the story, so along with reading, I love binge watching and critiquing TV shows and films. Creative writing is my only true hobby and I spend hours every week on poems, short stories and essays about current events.
